A centre built on the foundations of volunteering!
Volunteer with us and make a huge difference!
Volunteering is a two-way beneficial act. By giving up your most precious asset, your time, you are making a direct difference in our community and to the lives of others. Equally, you are gaining many new experiences, skills and friends along the way that can give you the feel good factor, help with your CV for jobs and gain references from us, and give you the experience often necessary to further your career. Find out more about volunteering at Inchgarth by reading our Volunteering Booklet below!
VOLUNTEER WITH US TO GAIN NEW SKILLS, CONFIDENCE, AND SUPPORT INTO THE WORLD OF WORK. A WONDERFUL NEW INITIATIVE BY INCHGARTH AND ABZWorks. Inchgarth is delighted to announce a partnership with ABZWorks where we are offering you a wide range of excellent volunteering opportunities that will give you the confidence to learn new skills, make new friends, and a snapshot of different careers that may excite you as you consider your next steps. There’s only a small level of commitment, to suit your availability, while each volunteer will sign up ABZWorks to gain a whole range of practical positive support on CV making, possible training if you require it, and information about various employment opportunities in the city. There are no obligations, no costs, no impact on your benefits, only positives where you have new doors opening for you, and our centre gains your fantastic help.
CRITERIA It’s very straightforward, and again, the level of commitment is wholly your decision, but to gain the new skills and confidence, we do suggest no less than 6 weeks. You can’t be in employment. You can’t be in training. You can’t be in education. You have to live in Aberdeen city. You must be aged 16-67 years of age. Have the right to work and live in the UK.
