Inchgarth Community Centre is Aberdeen’s busiest and most successful community centre, located in Garthdee. Inchgarth community centre has held a special place in the hearts of many for nearly 70 years having being a school from 1950 to 1982, and then a community centre from 1984 to present day.
In 2017, the centre was recognised by Her Majesty the Queen via the Queen’s award for voluntary service- an MBE, which is the highest award an organisation can receive in the UK. This recognised the outstanding service by our entire team and cemented our place as a centre of excellence.
With 150 sessions of activity for every age group, a tremendous range of opportunities and facilities for all, and some 2000 centre users , Inchgarth represents a truly unique service in the heart of our community With a small staffing team, the reliance on a huge pool of volunteers, and being self financing, we depend on the generous donations and sponsorship of companies and individuals to continue the high level and quality of opportunities and facilities.
The centre takes tremendous pride in the services we provide for societies most vulnerable which includes the children, elderly, those with disabilities and the poorest. The sponsorship and donations you make really does make a massive, long lasting, and vital difference to people's lives.
